Tackling the cost of fast fashion
Fast fashion is the model of mass producing emerging fashion trends as quickly and cheaply as possible.
Why is fast fashion expensive?
While fast fashion clothing is affordable for our wallets, it’s expensive for the environment.
The average American throws out 81 lbs of clothes every year.
On average, a single item of clothing is only worn 7 times before being discarded. The vast majority of discarded clothing is sent to landfills, including donated clothes.
styleSet makes getting ready in the morning quick and easy by letting users create and plan outfits in advance. Just get up, check the app, and get dressed!

Fashion is a way many people explore self-expression and identity, and we are encouraged to experiment with new clothes and just get rid of them if they aren’t what we wanted.
Fashion can be intimidating. Affordable, disposable clothes feel like a safer way to explore it. How can we make people want to rewear clothes?
